We are designing a structural system and analysing environmental patterns for microclimatic design so that we can create a structural bay for public and co-working space feasible in our site context.

Structural Refinement

Initial refinement – fabrication helped up identify issues with the current design
Proposed Joint connection
Struts for additional bracing
Designing wooden slats to line the interior
Refining connections from metal ring to umbrella leaves and from membrane to leaves
Refinement of maison model to place more emphasis on umbrellas as the main structure
